Ideally just something to track expenses, financial planning etc. Thanks for any replies.

I'm looking for a percent that I should put away from each check. My expenses are limited… 3 toward car payment /month, for the gym /month, for the phone bill /month. I get paid around 0 post-tax every two weeks. I am looking to save for two seperate things. One is for vacations the other amount I would like to put away just to start a savings account. I appreciate any sincere answers…I just graduated college, this is my first job with a steady pay check and I want to be smart about my money! Thank you!

I made over 100k last year and my wife blew threw it as quick as I made it…I worked over 500 hrs overtime! I need a budget that is practical. Does anyone know of a good book or ideas?

I make good money, but I honestly don't budget appropriately. I always get my bills paid, but tend to have very little left over. Are there resources available to show people how to budget?

We are really trying to save our money but we both don’t want to sit at home every weekend watching movies on TV. We’d like to go out every once in awhile. Also, the “dinner and a movie” get a little old. Does anyone have any other ideas that aren’t expensive?

I am just talking about average expenses like car, insurance, groceries, mortgage, etc…

How does budgeting software work?

Mar 14, 2009 Author: | Filed under: Five Dollar Talk

why do budgeting softwares always make you fund all categories in your budget with money from checking? you don't have all your money for the month on the 1st, so why do they do that? It shows that i'm in the negative the entire month until i enter in enough from paychecks during the month. why does it do that?
