An electronic spreadsheet allows you to quickly make edits to information that you input. In addition, you can have the spreadsheet program make calculations for you, and also catch common errors. An electronic spreadsheet also allows you to easily organize the information in new ways, like in a graph or a diagram. An electronic spreadsheet is also easy to make copies of.

Email me if you want to talk
crack_fashion@yahoo.com

I am having the same deal.... ours is $20,000 and we keep cutting stuff out and down but it's not putting a dent into it. I still owe the cater like $10,000 and our wedding is Nov 3....
It's soo hard and we are cutting back on everything to pay for this.... Depending on where you live and if you have to use a cater it's really hard!!! I am ready to elope too :)
I am hoping to get some federal taxes back to pay the cater but I feel like I am always robbing peter to pay paul!!!

The USA can't afford to help with any other country's disasters. It's trillions of dollars in debt as it is, which is a disaster of its own.

Saving up money for the up-front costs is important, but it is important to understand that there are on-going costs too, so make sure you have a regular income of some sort on top of the initial savings.

Bear in mind that your puppy will need an initial vet check when you first bring him/her home, and will need two more sets of shots within the first couple of months as well. If all goes well, that may be all the vet visits for a while, but always have a reserve fund for the unexpected (for example, my pup had a bout of diarrhea that lasted a few days, so we ended up with a vet consult and some medication... these things happen, and are not huge expenses, but are expenses nonetheless). I would also ensure you budget for obedience classes ($100-$200), regular grooming (depending on the breed), a dog walker or doggy daycare if needed... Also remember that any time you are going to be away, you need someone to look after the dog. If you don't have family/friends willing to do this for you, then kenneling is another cost to consider. There are other seasonal things that may be required depending on your location, such as flea/tick prevention and heartworm medication as well.

All this to say, yes, save money for the purchase of the dog and supplies required, but please keep in mind that this is not a one-time expense.

My can't-live-without basic supplies:
- crate & bed
- dishes
- food & treats
- toys (at your discretion, but a Kong is a must!)
- collar & leash (harness for the car)
- brush/comb
- toothbrush/toothpaste
- nail clippers (if you intend to do them yourself)
- puppy shampoo / conditioner
- enzymatic cleaner for the inevitable accidents
- Bitter Apple spray to deter chewing
- puppy pads (if you can house train without these, then do so, but my little one uses them out on my balcony at times when we can't get down 20 floors in time!)

Price out these things in your area. Good luck!

I have recently read a great article about managing household and personal budgets at : http://downint.googlepages.com/manageyourmoney.html
they even gave me one month free subscription for a budgeting software, where they show you exactly where the money is going and how to save hundreds of dollars monthly.

The categories will depend on your expenses.

I have a budget worksheet I created in Excel. It has the budget by month and year on one page, along with a column for due dates. If you'd like a copy to use, just email me!

For my husband and I, we have a joint account. All the bills are paid from this account. All of our accounts are joint. You have to figure out what works best for you. I recommend checking out www.suzeorman.com. She has LOTS of great advice for married couples! Another thing that I have heard works well is a joint account, then two separate accounts that you each give yourself an allowance to. For example, so that you can purchase gifts or get haircuts, etc. This allowance is your disposable income, to spend as you like so that there isn't any arguing about why she spent $50 on a pedicure or why you spent $100 on golf! :)
