Out of these 3 methods, which do you think works best?
Each has thier own account and responsible for half the bills.
Each has thier own account and there is a common account too.
One common account.
For my husband and I, we have a joint account. All the bills are paid from this account. All of our accounts are joint. You have to figure out what works best for you. I recommend checking out http://www.suzeorman.com. She has LOTS of great advice for married couples! Another thing that I have heard works well is a joint account, then two separate accounts that you each give yourself an allowance to. For example, so that you can purchase gifts or get haircuts, etc. This allowance is your disposable income, to spend as you like so that there isn’t any arguing about why she spent $50 on a pedicure or why you spent $100 on golf!
